Stagecoach Newcastle

Michael is a choreographer and dance facilitator with over 15 years experience teaching all ages and abilities. He specialises in boys dance and works in both mainstream and SEND settings. Michael has delivered workshops for Dance City, Theatre Royal Newcastle, and more, and lectures in movement and physical theatre. He is Artistic Director of Hit The Ground Running, a company exploring men’s mental health through physical theatre, and also coaches dance at Stagecoach Newcastle.

Kelly trained at the London Academy of Performing Arts and has performed in musicals and No.1 theatre tours across the UK and Europe. She created the role of Julie Alcock in Uncle Eric, appeared in Parade, and has sung at Newcastle Arena alongside artists like Joe McElderry and Jimmy Nail. An award-winning stand-up comic, Kelly has written for BBC and Capital Radio and led theatre workshops for over 15 years, including with the RSC and Theatre Royal.

Zara began dancing with the British Ballet Organisation before training at The MGA Academy of Performing Arts. She went on to work across the UK in numerous dance and showgirl contracts, collaborating with leading industry professionals. Alongside her performance career, Zara has studied wellbeing in the arts and is passionate about helping young performers grow in confidence and become the best version of themselves on and off stage.

Jessica joined Stagecoach Newcastle at age 7 and is now a National Youth Theatre Ambassador and Young Facilitator. A Project A graduate at Theatre Royal Newcastle, she was awarded the ‘A Award’ for commitment. She holds Distinctions in BTEC Performing Arts, LAMDA Grade 8, and RSL Creative Arts. Jessica performed in The Sound of Music at The Rose Theatre and Shaftesbury Theatre and now shares her passion to inspire the next generation.

Tulsi trained at New College Durham and earned a BA in Performing Arts from Sunderland University. She began teaching musical theatre while studying and has since taught acting, dance, cheerleading, and acrobatics. Her experience includes directing youth musicals, competing nationally in cheer, and performing in immersive shows for families and the Arts Council. Tulsi is passionate about helping young people grow in confidence through the arts.

Liz holds a Master’s in Early Music from York University and received the David Barlow Award at the University of Newcastle. She has worked with ENO soloists, Stagecoach, The Sage Gateshead, and Streetwise Opera, and has taught for West End tours and national choirs. A specialist in Kodály, Liz has taught with RSNO and NYCoS. She is now Musical Director for multiple choirs and continues to inspire young performers through her teaching and accompaniment.

Maya is an actor and creative from Newcastle with credits including How to Be a Person (Channel 4) and Blue Jean. She has performed with Live Theatre, Northern Stage, and more. Maya co-leads the Girls Theys and Slays choir and is passionate about making the arts inclusive and empowering. Through her teaching, she helps every young person build confidence and believe in their voice—on stage and in life.

With over a decade of dance experience, Natalia trained at Shockout and specialises in ballet, jazz, contemporary, commercial, and musical theatre. She was awarded the Manchester United Foundation Leadership Award and earned a scholarship from CJ Salvador, dancer on Justin Bieber’s tour. Natalia has taught students of all ages and abilities, and is passionate about helping each dancer grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.

Tasha is a proud Stagecoach alumna who has performed in professional pantomimes and now works with a theatrical company. She holds Grade 8 distinctions in Acting (LAMDA), Singing and Piano (ABRSM), and Performing Arts (RSL), and is qualified in BBO and IDTA dance. Also a qualified Teaching Assistant, Tasha brings energy and encouragement to every class, helping students have fun and reach their full potential through the arts.
