Safeguarding at Stagecoach Performing Arts

We take the safeguarding of our students very seriously at Stagecoach Performing Arts. Stagecoach is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for its students and is proud to have been one of the first children’s organisations to set up a Safeguarding Protocol for our schools.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Inclusivity Policy

Stagecoach Performing Arts is committed to inclusivity, recognising the positive impact attending our classes can have on children and young people. Our aim is to give each child the best possible experience of our brand.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity:

Equal Opportunities

We have an inclusive recruitment policy that also applies to the enrolment of students. Children and young people from all backgrounds are offered the same opportunity and support.

No Auditions Required

With few exceptions (e.g. performance troupes), there are no auditions for places in our scheduled classes. All applications are treated equally, and students are given a Two-Week Trail at assess how they get on in class.

Support for Individual Needs

Our teachers are committed to integrating children with a range of individual needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), into our classes wherever possible.

Important Considerations

Two-Week Trial: This trial period works both ways. The ensemble style of learning at Stagecoach may not be suitable for every child. If after discussions with their parents/carers a child is disruptive or unable to engage, it may not be possible to include them in Stagecoach activities. In some cases, we advise that a child may wish to try Stagecoach again at a later date.

Reasonable Adjustments: Where possible and where resources are available, Stagecoach will make reasonable adjustments to accommodate the physical, behavioural, and learning needs of each child.

For more details on our policies, or if you have any questions, please reach out to your local Stagecoach Principal.
